Whether you sit on the board of a major bank or are part of the executive management of a medium-sized company, whether you head a department at a government agency, association, educational institution, or medical center, or whether you bear the responsibility for IT at your organization.
The team at i and me is dedicated to helping you with exactly that.
All the solutions, products, services, training courses, and workshops we offer are designed specifically for this purpose.
Since every person, every department, every company, and every institution has its own unique history and, consequently, its own set of challenges, we tailor our approach specifically to you and your situation.
IT Modernization
and Transformation
Not just with IBM platforms
Many companies have been relying on existing (IBM) hardware and software solutions for decades.
These systems are generally very reliable and keep the company running, but they are often slow to adapt to modern business processes.
We help you modernize your existing applications without compromising the stability of your core systems.
From analysis and optimization to the integration of modern interfaces: We ensure that your company stays ready for the future.
Tradition Meets Innovation
We combine the stability and security of proven IBM solutions with modern technology. With our AI-powered tools for RPG/Cobol code analysis, code generation, and transformation, VSCode extensions, automated 5250 control, a flexible and state-of-the-art ERP framework, and numerous other products and solutions, we make your IT more efficient, future-proof, and easier to manage—even with low-code/no-code.
The i and me Team
Quality & Quantity
Over the past five years, the team at edvberatung.litters and i and me has grown from a “one-man show” to a staff of 21 full-time employees.
Fifteen of them are developers!
I’m familiar with that kind of headcount from other companies with 50 or more employees.
In fact, everyone on the team is an i and me Champion, and a good quarter of the staff (4 of the developers) are IBM Champions.
With a combined total of more than 220 person-years of experience across a wide range of industries, companies, and organizational sizes, as well as a diverse array of technologies—and an average age of just 41—we offer you not only a wealth of experience but also the innovative drive and ability to quickly master new technologies and processes and apply them effectively to meet your needs.
MORGANA
Outline and More for Visual Studio Code
Many developers would like to switch to Visual Studio Code with Code for IBM i, but are hesitant to make the switch because they miss the outline feature available in IBM RDi.
MORGANA Outline and More fills this gap—and does much more besides.
- All features of the RDi outline function
- GOTO Marker
- Opens the source code of procedures from modules and service programs with a single mouse click
- Opens the source code of programs called via CALL with a single mouse click
- Also displays the structures of internally described files
- Warns if the source code and the object in LIBL do not match
- Shows the use and modification of indicators that are modified using MOVEA
- etc.
Fifty2Fifty API Bridge
Do you need to quickly retrieve information from an existing Green Screen 5250 screen?
What for?
- New mobile app
- New Web Application
- Online Store
- New Cloud Solution
- Interface with logistics partners, customers, or suppliers
- Streamlined processes
Then the F2F API Bridge is exactly what you need!
Do you want to automate interactive applications and run them in batch mode?
Then the F2F API Bridge is exactly what you need!
Control your 5250 applications easily from your RPG or COBOL programs!
Dynamic API Bridge
Working with 5250 screens is often time-consuming and prone to errors. With Dynamic API Bridge, you can automate navigation through these interfaces and significantly speed up everyday processes.
Combined with our low-code/no-code approach, recurring workflows can be defined and executed without any programming knowledge. This allows business departments to digitize their processes independently.
Workshops and Training Sessions
In addition to traditional training sessions that take place over several consecutive days or half-days, our experience over many years has shown that a continuous course spread over several weeks is often much more effective.
In other words, there’s a workshop on the topic once or twice a week; participants are given assignments to work on before the next session, and then they discuss them.
Advantages:
- Participants should not be away from their day-to-day work for too long at a time
- Participants will not be disturbed during class time
- What is learned is applied immediately and is retained much better than in “block instruction”
We offer workshops and training sessions on a wide range of topics.
Here is a selection:
IBM i Basics
- IBM DB2 for i
- IBM RPG (from RPG-II to the latest, fully free RPG)
- RPG development using AI agents such as Bob, Claude Code, and others
- Visual Studio Code with Code4i for IBM i Developers
- Visual Studio Code for DB2 Administrators
- Node.js
- Python
- AI for Executives
- AI for IBM i Developers
- AI for All Developers

AI first
AI tools that make life much easier for software developers are currently all the rage.
For the past three years, my team—comprising several developers—has been working intensively and exclusively on this topic, and has developed, tested, and implemented numerous solutions and processes for our clients.
We have actually been working with clients on projects in the field of machine learning—a branch of AI—for the past eight years.
In addition to supporting software developers, we focus primarily on helping various departments use AI to perform their daily tasks more effectively, while ensuring security and transparency.
Converting AI 5250 Display Files
into React components
What if there were a solution that automatically converted your existing 5250 screen files into modern React components while leaving your existing RPG or COBOL code unchanged?
This would provide a modern, browser-based interface all at once, while still ensuring that the code continues to run as it has been for the time being.
That’s exactly what makes our
AI Tool Lightman
As with all our AI-based solutions, we use as little AI as possible but as much as necessary, and only in areas where it can be used effectively and safely.
IBM BOB
As an IBM Business Partner and with several IBM Champions on our development team, we are of course available to assist our customers with any questions regarding IBM Bob, including licensing.
We’d also be happy to answer any questions you may have about when and whether Bob is the right choice for you, as well as what options are available for using Bob even more effectively and cost-efficiently.
Ozgar
Another AI tool that can be an incredible asset for many companies is Ozgar.
Unlike Bob, Claude Code, Codex, or other AI agents, Ozgar focuses on documenting and explaining the company’s software and the entire organization.
In other words, in addition to IT specialists, business analysts and even power users from the various departments also use Ozgar to ask questions about how certain business processes work or why some procedures require one approach while others require a completely different one.
Ozgar is designed to be so user-friendly that even non-IT users can get up to speed in no time.
As an Ozgar partner in German-speaking countries and a referral partner in the U.S., we are here to assist you with any questions you may have about Ozgar.
Common Germany Southwest User Group
Since October 2025, i and me has been organizing the Common User Group Southwest.
Every three months, IBM i enthusiasts ideally meet in person or online to learn about the latest developments on a specific topic and, above all, to share their experiences with one another.
Community Events
Since March 2026, i and me has been hosting two community events that allow the respective target groups to stay up to date on the latest developments and share their own experiences and questions with like-minded people.
Code for IBM i Fridays – The European Edition
Once a month, this session is all about Visual Studio Code and the Code for IBM i extension.
AI for IBM Wednesdays
AI on and for IBM platforms is the focus of this event.
In doing so, we’ll look not only at the “usual” tools for developers, but also at AI tools, solutions, and implementations for users and management.
